Most people visit us unsure of the root cause of their symptoms or what to do for treatment. Our team will help you discover the source of the problem so we can help you build a path back to yourself and good mental health.
Treatment with us starts with the consultation. During this appointment, we will get to know you and examine the issues you are dealing with. This is also an opportunity for you to get to know us and your treatment options. An informed patient makes the best decisions about their health. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions or let us know if anything is unclear.
There is no one-size-fits-all treatment at Christies Family Health LLC. We tailor our approach to the needs of each individual. The typical approach to treatment involves a combination of medication and therapy. Mental health disorders are often complicated and require a multifaceted approach. We will keep in close contact with you during treatment and adjust the protocol when needed. Once you are on your way to feeling better, we will provide a thorough follow-up to ensure you are returning to the best version of yourself.
Almost everyone struggles with mental health at some point in their life, and they should not ignore it and hope it will pass. If you or a loved one is suffering, call us today at 832-915-1818. There is help. We are here to listen.
PMHNP-BC
Sheritha Chambliss, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner at Christie’s Family Health LLC, providing high-quality mental health care to adolescents, teens, and adults throughout Texas. Sheritha's initial career started in 2010 after completing her undergraduate degree at Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She worked as an ICU nurse for over six years before pursuing her graduate degree in nursing education at the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona. Sheritha worked as a nurse educator for four years before obtaining her Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Chamberlain University in 2016. Upon completing her graduate degree, she worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a variety of settings where she found that many patients struggled not only with chronic medical conditions but also mental health conditions that directly impacted their overall wellbeing. She witnessed a lack of support and community resources during her time working in a family clinic and was inspired to pursue a postgraduate degree at Maryville University in mental health. As a mental health nurse practitioner with over 20 years of health care experience, Sheritha specializes in diagnosing and treating various mental health conditions. She has knowledge in a wide range of conditions and provides services that aim to reduce patient's symptoms of anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, and other mental health conditions through medication management. Sheritha's approach to treatment is a patient-centered treatment approach that combines counseling, healthy lifestyle changes, and prescription medication. Her caring and compassionate approach to treatment helps to promote client's understanding of presenting symptoms, openness to change, and adherence to treatment. Sheritha loves getting to know her patients and their families.
